ABOUT

Rochan (pronounced "Rosh-Anne") Liu is a writer-director from the farmlands of South Africa, currently pretending to be a city girl in LA.
The eldest of three ballsy women, with family scattered across four continents, it comes as no surprise that Rochan tells stories about gutsy gals from far-flung places, nor that her bank account is frequently frozen for suspected fraud. As both a person and a filmmaker, Rochan is an optimist to a fault. She views life through rose-tinted, heart-shaped glasses, finding humor in the mundane, hilarity in the dramatic, and a sense of magic in normal, everyday life.
Rochan currently works as the script coordinator on Netflix's "My Life with the Walter Boys." She recently showran two narrative podcasts and wrote on Disney's "Pretty Freekin Scary." Her writing & directing work has been recognized by Slamdance, Cannes Lions, The Disney Program, Final Draft, Sci Fi London, Cinestory, and the Durban International Film Festival. She also previously worked in writers' rooms for HBO, ABC, Freeform, and TNT.
